Learn A Valuable Skill

There are only two things in life that are guaranteed and one of them is taxes! Nearly everyone will have to file their taxes at some point in their lives, whether it's young first-time filers trying to find time while going to college or working families trying to make ends meet. We know taxes are hard, but they don't have to be.

Make A Meaningful Impact

With the help of volunteers, we can assist thousands of our neighbors file their taxes for free each year, saving them hundreds of dollars per return and helping them to secure critical tax credits that are some of the most effective anti-poverty tools out there. Volunteering as a tax preparer is one of the most rewarding hands-on experiences there is. If you are new to preparing taxes, we'll teach you a helpful new skill and if you are a tax professional or student, we'll give you lots of invaluable hands-on experience.

No Prior Experience Required

We'll support you with online and classroom training before the season starts, as well as the help of experienced volunteers when you get on site. Each site is managed by a staff or volunteer Site Coordinator that will be your primary contact throughout the entire season.
